I apologize for the lack of updates the past few weeks. I just recently updated to the new version of Wordpress, version 2.5, which is the script that runs this blog. I had a little trouble getting all of my Plugins to work at first but everything should be working okay now. The shoutbox spam is getting out of control lately so I have to find a filter that will eliminate or at least slow that down. Hopefully I can find a solution to that problem ASAP.
I’ve also had a little trouble with my computer and network lately. I purchased a new desktop PC about a week ago and just nearly finished setting that up last night. But the big problem, while getting it ready was that the router on my other computer died so I was without internet on my main PC which has all of the oldNotreDame files. However, I just bought a new router last night and now everything is working well. I’m back in business with a new, faster computer and a new, reliable wireless router.
So I will get the Daily Trivia running again and will update the site just like I had up until a few weeks ago. Everything should be running fine but if not, please contact me with any problems you might have. (Kevin@oldnotredame.com)
What have I missed? Well the Notre Dame Men’s Hockey team made it to the National Championship game, an incredible accomplishment. They lost to Boston College in the game but played very well throughout the tournament. The win over Michigan was very impressive and fun to watch.
The Blue and Gold game is this weekend and should give everyone a good look at how things are going. I’m hoping that I can find the game on TV considering I can’t be in South Bend to see it. I look forward to seeing more of how each player has made themself better from last season. Specifically, I am very curious to see how Armando Allen looks. He needs to be able to break some tackles this season if he wants the chance to use his breakaway speed.
In other news, “The Shirt 2008″ is being revealed tomorrow. I can’t wait to see what the design looks like this year and will order one right away. You can pre-order a shirt now at the Official University of Notre Dame Athletics Online Store and it will ship starting April 21st.
Once again, I apologize for the lack of updates, but things should be back to normal now. Thank you for continuing to visit the site. - Kevin

This is a screenshot of a Notre Dame Basketball background that I created in Photoshop. It features the five starters of the Irish 2007-2008 team; Luke Harangody, Kyle McAlarney, Rob Kurz, Tory Jackson, and Zach Hillesland. Once again I made it in many different resolutions so choose which one is right for you. Click the screenshot or jump over to the Wallpaper page in the navigation menu above to see the full sized images. Feel free to use it if you like and as always, Go Irish!

I set up a new forum a couple of days ago for oldNotreDame.com. I’ve been working on a layout that is currently up, which matches the blog layout. So please feel free to sign up and discuss the latest in Notre Dame or anything in general with fellow Irish fans. Please e-mail me (Kevin@oldnotredame.com) if you have any questions or concerns.
Don’t forget to check out the store if you want to support oldNotreDame.com. Buy a one of a kind t-shirt to show off your Notre Dame pride.
Also, I am going to be starting a daily trivia in which I ask a new Notre Dame related trivia question and post the answer the next day. You can submit your answers by commenting on the post when it is made. This should be started within a day or two. It should be fun and you should try to figure out the answers without looking them up. Eventually their could possibly be some prizes or point system.
As always, Go Irish!

I added a page for a Wallpaper that I have created. You can use the image as your computer background. I made it in many different resolutions for all users. Feel free to use it and to leave comments.
I also have added a Donation button. As you obviously know, www.oldNotreDame.com provides you the latest news for free. I pay all of the expenses out of my own pocket. If you wish to help with the hosting costs, please donate to my Paypal account. Just click the button in the sidebar. The smallest bit helps. Thanks.

Obviously, there is a new website layout. I felt that the previous site design was too dull and unattractive so I created this new one. Feel free to leave any comments and/or suggestions.
Also, I am currently looking to trade links with other Notre Dame websites/blogs. I will put your link in my blogroll in the sidebar, right under “ND Links”. Feel free to email me at Kevin@oldnotredame.com if you are interested.

Welcome, oldNotreDame.com has officially started today. This is a blog about the University of Notre Dame, mostly the football team. Pages are still being added and there will be more changes coming. I will most likely also add a forum to the site which will allow everyone to post news or their opinion about something.
I will post all news that I discover about Notre Dame football and the site will be updated a lot. Suggestions and comments are greatly appreciated. The design was done by me, Kevin Christman, the founder and owner of this website. I am using the WordPress blogging script to run the site. It has been coded and rearranged to get the look it has now.
So far the only pages are the Recruits page which will list all of Notre Dame’s recent recruits. I have even created this image of all the recruits and it will be updated as more and more players commit.

The other two pages are a roster for the 2007 season and schedules for 2007 and 2008. More pages will be added soon, along with links to videos and content. Check back everyday for constant Notre Dame football updates. C ya guys.
