21st Jan 2008

Tight End John Carlson will not be participating in the annual Senior Bowl this week. He was forced to withdraw due to food poisoning which led to losing 17 pounds in only eight days. After a tough season, I’m sure John was looking to showcase his talents throughout the week. However, Carlson will have many, many more chances to prove to the NFL scouts that he should be an early pick in the draft. Many would criticize John Carlson for returning for a fifth year after the stellar 2006 season, but either way, his skills are still present Let’s all hope that John will get better soon and I’m sure he will prove himself later on in other events such as the combine.

Tom Zbikowski, Trevor Laws, and John Sullivan will be representing the Irish on the North squad at the Senior Bowl.
