A Notre Dame player has been selected as the Big East Player of the Week for the second time in a row. Kyle McAlarney took it home last week after his big performance against Villanova. This time, forward Luke Harangody was named the Big East Player of the Week for the second time this season. He averaged 30 points and 14 rebounds last week with wins over Providence and DePaul. This should come to no surprise to anyone considering how well he had played in both of those Big East conference games. Luke is having an outstanding season and currently averaging 20.4 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, both numbers among the nation’s best. Harangody’s play leap-frogged the Irish into the rankings at 21/22 this week. Up next for Luke and Notre Dame is Seton Hall on Wednesday at 7:30. Congratulations Luke Harangody and as always, Go Irish!
